i did the santas workshop thing as well (you send your wish to santa and you recieve the gift without anything being asked of you) when i first signed up it was described as tho anyone who joined recieved a gift, apparently that was incorrect and it was just a random draw of who got them and such... thus i was seemingly not picked... so makes me happy to know that i do have a gift coming ;o) yay!!
